
Combined Master’s Program Application 1. Do I have to complete an application for CMA Ontario's Entrance Examination and the Entrance Examination Preparation Program? Yes; program individuals must submit applications. The June EE application will be sent to you in March and must be returned by the April deadline. The October EE application will be sent to you in July and must be returned by the August deadline in time to write the October exam. 2. When do I write the CMA Case Examination and do I need to register for this exam. The CMA Case Exam takes place in May or August and, yes, you will need to register with CMA Ontario to write this examination. 3. Are there any additional costs involved once I've submitted my payments to CMA Ontario? You will pay no further fees to CMA Ontario until you receive your CMA designation. At that point, you will be required to pay annual dues to CMA Ontario. 4. I'm an international student. Do I qualify for the combined MBA-CMA Program? Yes, students with international student visas may register for the combined program. 5. Do MBA-CMA graduates receive any assistance finding employment once they've completed the program? Your fees cover the cost of CMA Ontario Student Membership while you are pursuing your MBA studies. One of the many benefits you receive is postings of full-time, entry-level positions but also summer and part-time jobs. As a Student Member, you can also attend Connections, a fall career fair annually presented by CMA Ontario. Last year's event drew 30 progressive employers, including IBM Canada, Kraft Canada Inc., The Bank of Montreal, and Falconbridge Ltd., as well as 550 attendees who directly networked with hiring representatives from each company. 6. Do I have to wait until I complete my studies at the University of Ottawa before writing the CMA Entrance Exam? Yes 7. If I don't achieve the 60% mark required to pass the CMA Entrance Exam or Case Examination, can I write it again? Yes, you will have up to three attempts for both exams. CMA Exam Preparation Program is an invaluable resource to review the relevant academic material and prepare you for the entrance exam. 8. Will I have an opportunity to discuss career information with practicing CMAs? Your CMA Ontario Student Membership also entitles you to discounted fees at some events provided by your local CMA Ontario District Association. Activities are listed on the "Districts" section of this web site. 9. What if I change my mind about enrolling in the MBA-CMA program? Requests for cancellation will be accepted only when the request is postmarked no later than two weeks beyond the first payment date and the request must be submitted in writing. No cancellations will be considered after this date. All cancellations are subject to a $500 administrative fee.
